I added hypochlorous acid (prepared and filtered from calcium hypochlorite solution) into a citrate buffer (mixture of 3M citric acid and 3M sodium citrate, ratio 40:60). I found that a layer a hard, solid, white sediment at the bottom. I suspect the sediment is calcium citrate.

Any idea what's the sediment? How to prevent the formation of sediment?
