Since your specimens already dried all you need is to sputter coat them with conductive coating. However, some trichomes are pretty fragile and air drying can damage them. Better to follow standard procedure for biological specimens dehydration, but even then the most fragile trichomes still can be damaged; for them ESEM can be the best option.
you can use my technique the camphene sublimation technique I used it to examine hard tissue dried (teeth and bacteria )teeth are hard bacteria is fragile both showed up nicely .of course you can try the standard procedure but you risk disintegration of the specimen
