Hi, I'm currently built a 3D RVE model which attached in file.
I used type 1 Solid 185 for my both fibre and matrix and adjust the element technology to enhanced strain; while the cohesive element is use INTER205.
After I merge the nodes, I keyed in the command:
TB,CZM,3,,,EXPO
TBDATA,1,TNMAX,GMAX,1000
CZMESH,,,1,x,0
However, a warning "No cohesive element have been created. Please make sure that your input satisfies the cohesive section definition requirements
Hope someone can help me to figure it out because I have already struggling on it for a long time.
As a vital tip (for free) : Never ever use the cohesive zone elements in conjunction with coordinates, as that would tend to be really problematic and thus wastes your time trying to debug the problems.
Try the following: select elements of first boundary (e.g. elements 1) then assign them a component name (say CM1), then select the elements of second interfacial boundary ( e.g. elements 2) and assign them a component name CM2 for instance. Then issue the command :
Type, 3 ! declare element type to be used in the meshing step
CZMESH, CM1, CM2
The line Type, 3 is assuming that your interface element # is 3.
That's all , hopefully it will work.
Before doing so, try to make sure that the nodes from each side are coincident, otherwise you would need to play with the tolerance...etc.

Yes, you have to define TYPE 3 first, it is also important the order of CM1 and CM2 in CZMESH otherwise you will receive: "No cohesive element have been created. Please make sure that your input satisfies the cohesive section definition requirements"

I have tried using CZMESH,CM1,CM2, command. It gave the message ' No cohesive element have been created. Please make sure that your input satisfies the cohesive section definition'.
I have created a component of elements (CM1) on the top boundary and one more component (CM2) for elements on the bottom boundary. Still the CZ elements were not created, when I executed the command CZMESH,CM1,CM2. Could you please help me how to fix the problem?
