Hello everyone. Does any one have an idea or suggestion on how to achieve good mesh for my geometry (see attached file). I am using ANSYS workbench 16 for the meshing. I have tried so many things and by chance I saw a tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmVwnsO53yo then I thought it will be good idea to try multizone meshing. However, in the tutorial the geometry relatively simpler than mine. Also ansys keeps giving me error message when turning to the multi zone meshing option. Your help is appreciated

Hello Oula, you may try to change the relevance in your mesh. It may help you to manage creating the mesh. I recommend that you should use curvature advanced settings for the mesh on the curved faces inside the body. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Pranjal Singh, regarding the tutorial video, I tried to do exactly the same procedures in the video but also got error message as I have mentioned earlier in my question. I left all the options as default (see attached file) do you think I need to change any thing else in order to avoid errors?. Please check the attached snapshot showing how can you change the mesh relevance and curvature options.
In case that your component is composed of a set of components, you may assign the curvature meshing feature for the curved bodies only. See attached snapshot.

Hello Gerges, thank you for the clarification about the "relevance" and thank you for the snapshot. You gave good baseline to start from. I have one last question, how can I evaluate my mesh? Which criteria I need to pay attention to?. Lets say for mesh with element quality max.=1 and min.= 0.11, what would you say about it?

There are some approaches can be followed for mesh evaluation. I think the most reliable approach is the mesh convergence, where you have to check the results against the results, where the results should converge on refining the mesh.
