As the on going growth of the field we are observing, I believe the next immediate importance in Bioinformatics will be:

(1) system biology with special reference to pathway reconstruction and obviously the ever green area of

(2) data mining will remain with special reference to application of AI in biological data mining.

The other remaining area of (3) microarray data analysis will be there but slowly I feel the trend is moving towards (4) computational epigenetics.

Apart from protein protein interaction another very important area may be (5)protein lipid and (6) protein carbohydrate interaction.

I think

(1)System biology.

(2)Machine learning Approaches

(3) Protein Structure Prediction........ N Lots of other Thing as Amit Kumar Banerjee Sir Says....... But I M More Focused on Protein structure Prediction N Machine Learning Approaches ...

Dear Anshul, Thanks for sharing your views, may i know which area of protein structure prediction through machine learning approach interests you?

I feel that there are lots of tools and softwares are available for most of the eukaryotes. So, same are to be developed for viral genes and genomes. Though there are several specific databases available for different viruses like, influenza virus, HPV, etc. computational analysis possibly cannot be done since only very few tools are available. Moreover viral diseases are at present challenging for humans to develop drugs, or therapeutics or molecular analysis, affecting lifes worldwide. Hence, bioinformatic focus should be on development of programs and tools for viral genomes.

Since I work on computational virology, I am facing lots of problems in search of tools and programs, hence I feel future of bioinformatics is to focus on development of tools and software for viral genomes.

Actually Amit Sir I M Working on Structure prediction By Useing Some Machine Learning Approaches..... Like HMM, ANN And SVM........ Main Work of Fold Recognition I try to used SVM(Supprot Vector machine).
