A highly recurrent frameshift mutation of MLL2 was identified in cancer tissues, and this type of frameshift mutation of MLL2 is predicted to induce nonsense-mediated-decay by SIFT Indel software, which indicated gene silencing. However, the gene and protein expression of MLL2 in cancer is higher than that in non-cancerous tissues. How to explain this phenomenon?
