Hi to all.

I'm working on perfluoroalkyl surfactants. A perfluoroalkyl phosphate surfactant is patented before. My question is: When a perfluoroalkyl phosphate surfactant patented, can I use another perfluoroalkyl surfactant except phosphate?

I don't know when a molecule is patented, the whole family structure is patented or I can use another molecule with different anions (for example, instead of mentioned surfactant, can I use perfluoroalkyl carboxylate?

Thanks
