I know the density of Al to be 2.7gm/cm3 and density of GaN being 6.15 gm/cm3. Also found that density of Al0.1Ga0.9N to be 5.86 gm/cm3(Tomm et. al 2018). Just wondering is there any formula/process to calculate the density of some other alloy such as Al0.72GaN alloy or Al0.65GaN alloy. Thanks!
I would estimate it by
rho(xy) = rho(x).f(x)+rho(y).(1-f(x))
where f(x) is the weight fraction of element, x.

Yes, you can estimate it from a simple rule of mixtures equation as above. This is a very good first order approximation. However, this approximation assumes that the alloying element substitutes on the FCC lattice and the lattice parameter does not deviate significantly from the rule of mixtures, both of which may be wrong depending on the element etc. Axon and Hume-Rothery (Proc Roy Soc a, 193 (1032), 1-24 (1948)) investigated the influence of different alloying elements in Al on the lattice parameter and found deviations from the rule of mixtures. However, I doubt that the discrepancy will be large enough that you would need to include it. You just need to be aware of the assumptions in a rule of mixtures estimate.
