Hello, I am implementing factor analysis with oblimin rotation and proving its result using multiple regression analysis with one dependent variable and other independent variables. And oblimin is rotation technique which allows independent variables to be related to each other, and regression is only support for independent variables which are not correlated or related to each other. And i wonder that if it is possible or not using such kind of different techniques at the same time .. PLease give me short and brief answer.
You can proceed with Oblimin rotation method, as in social sciences it is a preferable way to rotate factors by means of Oblimin rotation method Schmit (2011).
As for as the correlation among Independent variables is concern, have a look of factor correlation matrix. if the amount of correlation is moderately to high correlated go for high order factor.
