Hello, What are the main reasons which influence the journal publishing period? What kind of journals are published in a short period of time? And what journals are published in the long period of time?
I will answer your question based on my experiente as an ex director and as a Chief- editor of a Journal Isi indexed. I would say that several issues contribute to the periodicity. One of them is the volume of submissions and the other is the financial capacity supporting that Journal.
However, you should not confuse periodicity with quality. Most of the time high volume in manuscritos output is more of a business decision then anything else. If you are trying to look for a good Journal where to publish your work look for Journals that integrate well recognized indexed databases, and there are several of them. Usually the best way to go about it is looking at what index bases are prefered in you country namely by the key evaluation institutions. In my country they prefer ISI and SCOPUS.
