Hello everybody :) Does anybody has an idea of how to prepare carbon electrodes for Microbial fuel cells from simple materials?

I'm doing my master master thesis on microbial fuel cells, and I'm facing a problem with finding suitable electrodes.

From literature I found that the following materials are the best materials that satisfies my goals, but I don't know a source that I can get them from except online shop that will take long time due to charge obstacles in my country: graphite rods, graphite brushes, carbon cloth, carbon paper, carbon felt and reticulated vitreous carbon.
