Greeting all
I’m trying to do time history analysis using implicit dynamic method on soil structure system
I defined the contact property between foundation and soil using surface to surface and adding tangential and normal behavior properties and I add infinite elements on soil boundaries
the earthquake is applied along x-direction on the bottom soil surface
I wonder why the displacement value on frame stories is zero ( the frame does not move at all)
Can anyone help me with this issue please

have you defined any boundary conditions on the walls? If so, which ones? It would also be helpful if you could provide the CAD or INP file of your model so that it can be analyzed.

I defined a fixed boundary condition on the bottom surface of soil and release x- direction for earthquake step
