I came across the description of the iBind system from Life technology and I find it interesting. I'm wondering whether someone has used the device so as to know whether it works really well as described before I recommend that we buy it in our lab. I'll appreciate responses from anyone who has used the system.

I actually got a chance to try a demo unit of the machine a few days after posting this question. I was suprised about how well the machine works. The membrane looked very neat. The cons is that it doees only one membrane at a time and primary antibody won't be recoverable.
I also used the system but I could not get any results. I tried several times with different antibody concentrations (started with the suggested concentrations by LifeTech) and different antibodies. Only thing that I could get is high background. Do you have any suggestions for this problem?
Just tried the iBIND Flex for the first time yesterday. Was very surprised at how well it worked! Only did one mini-protein gel but it can do 2 at a time . I used 2.5X less primary antibody than normal. Did use about 2X more secondary antibody, but my signal was very strong so I can probably scale that back a bit. Was very easy to use and it was nice to be able to "walk away" for 2.5 hours. Got very clean background.
