I was wondering if anyone has the experience of using super resolution microscopy for live-cell imaging. I found this review paper in this field.

But, it is still unclear for me if this method can be used for dynamic cluster analysis (rather than a single cell).

Yes, I have used SIM on living cells. The labeling is the same as for conventional fluorescence imaging and this method also has the smallest light dosage. Never had much luck personally with live STORM. Have not tried STED. These last two methods have higher light dosages, but can achieve better resolution.

I tried STED live imaging with a Bacmam Mito-GFP and TMRM and it killed the cells very quickly because it produced a lot of ROS.
