The guidelines states that it is suitable for serum, plasma and cell cultured lysates. Theoretically can you use animal tissue and make a tissue lysate?
Cell/tissue lysates can often be used in immunoassays (multiplexing or otherwise). You'll likely have to test multiple conditions for tissue lysis to find the amount of tissue and type of disruption/lysis that works well for you. For our multiplexing system, the LEGENDplex, we suggest starting with mechanical disruption in PBS, testing different amounts of tissue in 1mL. Try to limit the use of detergents (non-ionic), only use them if necessary.
