So, it was a field case. Chickens were not vaccinated in ovo (IBDV). Gross lesions: a real red cherry-like (hemorrhagic) bursa (without hemorrhages in skeletal muscles!); histopathological findings: the folds were completely filled with blood with only one or two clearly demarcated lymphoid follicles. Epithelium was extremely high, folded, with many cysts in epithelial cells (typical for bursal atrophy).
