I am currently culturing U87 MG cell line.
Pic 1) This photo was taken 48 hours after seeding, using medium with 10% FBS.
Pic 2) This photo was taken 72 hours after seeding.
At this point, I changed the medium to DMEM supplemented with 20% FBS.
Pic 3) This photo was taken 4 hours after the medium change, showing slight growth.
Pic 4) This photo was taken 48 hours after the medium change.
Despite using 20% FBS and allowing 48 hours, the cells still show limited growth.
Has anyone had experience culturing this cell line and could provide advice?
Hello Ali. I am growing these cells too. My cells started showing their respective epithelial morphology on the fourth day of revival and by the 6 day,,I could see their polygonal shape distinctly. I suggest you give them time and keep observing.
