Hi. We're planning to measure the mitochondrial membrane potential with immortalized human lymphocytes with FACS. The lymphocytes are transfected with EBV. I am used to do live cell FACS analyses with cells in biosaftey level 1, but I am not sure how to handle immortalized lymphocytes (biosaftey level 2):

is it possible to fix the cells (after staining for mitochondrial membrane potential ) without influencing the staining?

Or is it better to use a FACS for biosaftey level 2 and do live cell analysis?
