They are almost the same but depends on exactly what you're trying to do. If your are purifying standard DNA then polypac/ DMT method should be fine

Thanks Ayman for your answer. I didn't mean purification of a DMT-capped-DNA post chemical synthesis. I was referring to purification of commercially purchased oligonucleotides (fully deprotected) in between molecular biology procedures. I guess I wasn't clear enough in my question.
