Hello everyone.

I'm a pharmaceutical scientist whose experience is exclusively in solid dosage form. I'm starting a project that involves a semi-solid (cream) formulation, but I can't find a lot of reliable literature on formulation constituents and how to adjust them relative to the specific formulation I'm using. Can someone recommend an article that walks through excipients and their purposes? When would I need to change the surfactant, when do I need to adjust pH, etc etc...
