I prepared NGA media and streaked the pathogen (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri). In some culture plates, I observed a fungus which only parasitized where bacterial streaks were made (Pic attached). In some other plates, I saw the same phenomenon by the bacterium (Pic attached).
Your guidance and help are needed to study the relationship of these microbes on the pathogen because it is confusing for me that the NGA media may facilitate the growth of both microbes and the pathogen. I hope to hear from you. Thank you.
I have a few publications regarding this.. P. aeruginosa and Pyocyanin released from it effectively inhibit growth and biofilm of Candida albicans.
I think you asked on a random phenomena but you didn,t show what work you are doing and what experiment you design. This fungus could be a contamination from one of your colleagues. You have to make one solution of the follwing; Change the place you work in it. Try to repeat under completely sterile conditions. Use specific medium.

Thank you for giving me your valuable time. Dear may be it is the contamination but here is the question about fungal- bacterial relationship. I want to study and evaluate the antibacterial effect of fungus and the bacterium colonizing where bacterial streaks were made. The NGA media both facilitates the growth of pathogen and parasitizing microbes. The question is that how can we study the exact relationship without and media. Thank you.
