In the digital era nowadays invoking many social media sites to express individual and group expressions, it is still necessarily to control and regulate such expressions by law. In Indonesia, the freedom of expressions is regulated for filtering 'hoax'. Citing, posting, and spreading hoax have caused real 'war' in the society among groups of ethnic, religions, etc..thereby, such freedoms are not restricted but regulated by the government.
No wonder, in the name of freedom of expressions by using hoax has engendered the never-ended wars in some countries (e.g.,middle east).
How on Earth can freedom of expression violate ones privacy? Isn't it the other way round instead??
We all as individuals have the right to express ourselves and live the way we want to, right? Who would want to restrict ones liberalism? And, why in the first place?

"Expressing freely" and "Hurt someone" don't go in hand-in-hand at all!

See, my point is simple. if we say we have the right to express ourselves freely, there shouldn't be any restraints in that whatsoever.
Why do we tend to become intolerant towards some issues when its about us, but, we can pass it as a guffaw when the same thing is for somebody else?
We don't have the right to limit what people think or speak about us. We cannot just stop them from talking! If that happens, there won't be any liberty.
People would rather be chained and restricted. That is NO FREEDOM.

I would tend to agree with Sahar's point. Freedom of speech and expression should not be bound to chains, you cannot be selective as this leads to suppressive society. This includes all form of expressions including hate however undignified.Aftermath of what you do with such expressions is another debate . However one should differentiate this from verbal violence or assault directed to persons.Freedom is implicit not to violate privacy.
