How to improve the fixation of acidic dyes on basic fabric? I have tried salts like sodium sulphate but of no use. The dye washes out during washing with cold and hot water. How to improve its fixation? Thankyou
Hi Sobia,
For cotton:
- you can try to modifiy the fabric and dye with sulfonic acid dyes;
- or use other rective dyes that react with -OH groups.
