I need to plot a graph of f vs Re in poiseulle flow (flow between 2 fixed parallel plates) using Lattice Boltzmann method for 2 cases: (a) Fully developed flow (b) developing flow.
Or finding wall shear stress will also serve the purpose, f can be found out using the relation f=tau/(0.5*rho*v^2). Can anyone help or share an algorithm for the same?
hi friend, shear stress can be related to viscosity and shear rate. shear rate can be calculated from your velocity gradient calculation and viscosity you can assume it from fluid propoerties.

Ahmad Sedaghat 1. Should I calculate shear stress manually (outside the algorithm) by calculating the velocity gradient at the wall using the values of velocities obtained from the LBM simulation? Is this appropriate or ethical? or 2. Should I incorporate the formula of shear stress and velocity gradient in the algorithm so that the simulation gives me the value of shear stress, without having me to calculate shear stress manually? or 3. Any of the above 2 methods is fine?
