In society we see some people using face mask and some using face shield, some people even says face shield to be superior to face mask to prevent transmission. the government and the various organizations support the use of face mask in public place. in actually which is better at preventing the infection?

Well, I think the face shield is better, because it has more surface coverage.
Mask provides better protection than a face shield. However it is good if mask and face shield are used jointly. Using only a face shield can be dangerous.
I prefer masks because there is currently insufficient evidence to support the effectiveness of face shields for source control. Therefore, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) do not currently recommend using face shields as a substitute for masks.
Both are preventive measures and its together use can be more effective.
