Hello,

Our lab's Excelitas X-cite 120 LED Boost that we use for flourescence microscopy is having technical issues. The speedDIAL is displaying "Error 1". The technical manual states that the LED has exceeded maximum temperature, and that the obvious solution is to turn the setup off and wait for it to cool down before starting it again. However, I've tried turning the setup "off" and "on" multiple times and I still get "error 1". The problem is persisting, and so the manual suggests that I contact technical support.

While I can reach out to Excelitas for technical support, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience troubleshooting independently? I think the built-in fan is still running in our device, but has anyone tried replacing the fan or replacing the bulb? Looking for low-cost solutions that work just as well as calling the company's technical support team.

Thanks for any help on this!
