It is taught that there are three distinct "germinal layers" arising in and from the blastula-gastrula stages: endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm. It is alleged that these give rise to specific tissue elements such as mesoderm giving rise to mesenchymal areas.
Basically, endoderm and ectoderm initially differentiate from the inner cell mass cells (ICM) of the blastoysts and mesoderm is secondary differentiated by the interaction of endodermal and ectodermal cells. All tissue cells are derived from these three layers without exception.
What studies/experiments demonstrated that the taught above mentioned is true?
