Any alternatives to APEL2?

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has had luck replacing APEL2 media (Stemcell Technologies) with something else? We are trying to induce mesodermal cells from IPSC for a vascularized organoid protocol (following protocol by Sun et al., 2022).
