What could be the effect of Waste Plastic irregular chips on the bearing capacity of compacted Soils? And If the Plastic is cut into regular shaped stirrups then how different will be the resulting improvement, if any?

Any how plastic not only spoil the soil but also ground water which inter effect the quality of water and plant growth too.
Waste plastic chips may be used as a reinforcing element to stabilize clay soils.

The plastics can increase the California Bearing ratio (CBR) or plastic index of the soil. You can try that. The irregular ones gives non-uniform CBR while the regular ones might give consistent values of the CBR, Plastic index.
