Then, to obtain this equilibrium in a sample of NORM, you need to keep this sample tight feel days, not more than 20 days to 222Rn and 226Ra to be in equilibrium

but the aim of my question by other words is how to measure different emanation fraction of Rn-222 for example in TENORMs it may differ from 5% to 22% for scales and sludge respectively please read the attached file.
yes sure my question is the emanation and diffusion and exhalation of Rn-222 will affect by different composition and size of the rock's grains which will finally affect the time needed to attain secular equilibrium between Ra-226 and Rn-222 daughters is it ??
When you have all this situation (emanation, diffusion or exhalation), secular equilibrium will never be achived.
Only if you make a controlled environment, as a tight dome or room, depending of the sample size, where you will maintain the radon and its daughters retained.
But the correct way to measure it in rocks, soil or another sample where you want to obtain secular equilibrium is dry, mill, homogenize and keep tight this sample before measuring.
