(1) What was your experience of editor bias in peer review as journal author;
(2) what do you think about Editors’ decisions on Referees’ recommendations in whether the editor should accept or reject a manuscript for publication;
(3) what do you think about the bias and unfairness in the peer review outcomes (Editors’ decisions to reject submitted manuscripts)?
(4) How do you handle this situation?
The reviewers should identify any possible biases with regard to the paper they are writing. For instance, if they were being paid by a pharmacetical company for endorsements and received a paper that called into question the effectiveness of a drug the company produces, they should probably not review it.
As for the editors final decision they should identify any biases as well. I have not had any severe personal experiences with this in which i thought someone was biased so to speak.
