Dear colleagues,

I would be grateful to anyone who can answer my two questions:

1. Do the proportions of the shark's body change after drying? In other words, is it possible to discriminate two congeners, for example Scoliodon laticaudus and Scoliodon macrorhynchos (Carcharhinidae), based on the morphometric characters of dried specimens?

2. How much does the total length of small sharks shrink after drying? In other words, is it possible to recalculate the total length of a shark from a dried specimen?

Many thanks in advance to everyone who can provide answers to the questions posed along with relevant references.
