The 2013 paper on tartrazine toxicity by Mehedi interests me greatly, in particular the increase in alkaline phosphatase activity that was discovered (which K.A. Amin also found in 2010).
I am curious to know whether tartrazine, any other colourants or sulfonic acids have shown the same effect in bacteria. I am assuming that these sulfonates (SO3-) would indeed similarly increase Staphylococcal Acid Phosphatase activity too. Is this a reasonable assumption? Are there any papers that explores this topic?

Thank you Dr. Ali Aldallal. The paper you provided supports the one I quoted above. Unfortunately it too only mentions the phosphatase activity in rats. My interest is in bacterial phosphatase activity.

To answer your initial question, I am looking at the sulfur sensitivity of asthmatics and the possible link to bacterial activity. Staphylococcal acid phosphatase is one of the toxins/enzymes I am researching since it has a tendency to adhere to kidney membranes, blood vessel walls, and I suspect parts of the lungs too. If the production or activity of this bacterial enzyme is increased by ingesting colourants like tartrazine, then it may explain the mechanism behind this sensitivity of asthmatics.
