Does someone have a cell lysis method compatible with an assay of carbonyl groups ?

I bought a commercial carbonyl group assay kit but there is no sample preparation method and no lysis buffer provided in the kit.

I am therefore looking for a lysis method (chemical???) which does not induce the formation of ROS and therefore which does not interfere with the dosage of carbonyl groups. Does anyone have a compatible eukaryotic cell lysis protocol ?

You could always try mild hypotonic lysis. Perform a few experiments with the osmolarity to determine the osmotic strength required, to say cause LDH to leak out of the cells. You then could restore the osmotic balance prior to assay if required???
