Hi all,
I used ELISA for analyzing the expression of specific protein with treatment of epigentic modifiers (SAHA or 5aza). And I found that the expression of GAPDH became increased with treatment ! It is possible that the expression of housekeeping genes increased with SAHA or 5-aza ?

While one would normally think expression would not be increased if it is already strong, it may all depend upon the cell and culture conditions you are using since the aza treatment will open up more transcription factor binding sites. However the activity of these sites with respect to any gene may be cell type dependent.
