Dear all,

Propylene Glycol seems to be a promising alternative to ethanol or other more toxic trapping fluids for insects. But, I've experienced in a few trials that specimen become extremely stiff, hard and somtimes even porous and very breakable, impossible to manipulate.

Does anyone has experience with trapping with Prop. glyc. and stretching/preparation of specimen afterwards?

Does the concentration matter(also for preservation value)?

Thanks for your thoughts, in advance!
