I would like to know if LPS from different E. Coli strains elucidates different response in different cell lines/ cell types
i am working with the BV2 cell line, murine microglis cell line, and would like to know is there particular strain of E.coli is better to look at the TNF a response in these cells
in the past, we have been working with LPS from E.coli 055:b5 from LIst Biological Labs.
Recently, we haven't been getting a good TNF a response even at a much higher dose.
Tried new LPS, a dose response, cells in lower passage number and different batch, media, etc
any useful recommendations would be helpful

LPS from different strains of E.coli would not elucidate different response, but the amount of response will vary in different cell types. And, conversion of E.coli LPS from rough to smooth form during routine culture might affect the cytokine production.
