Dear all,

I am propagating some plasmids with a human gene and an ampicillin resistance gene. My logic is that if ampicillin concentration will be increased, the concentration of plasmid (pSF) will also be increased because a cell would transcribe it more often to produce more beta-lactamase. Thus, the concentration of the human gene is also expected to be higher. Is this logic right, or would the plasmid concentration stay relatively the same, but the transcription rate will go up? Thanks.
