Does hIFN-γ can be used in a mouse model？

I am working with an animial experiment about injection of hIFN-γ to mouse through intraperitoneal approach. Few literature are serched online. Whether it is useful to mouse model even there exist no significant homology with mouse IFN-γ. Because human IFN-γ is highly species specific and is biologically active only in human and primate cells. Thank you!

Hi,

I don't think it's a good idea because you'll probably not get the expected physiological effects due sequence difference. Also you should initiate an immunological response against the foreign antigen, interfering with your readouts.
