I am wondering if it is possible to do mammosphere assay for individual Circulating tumour cells.
If someone has experience in this it would be much appreciated to share it with me.
Thanks
Hi,
Do you want to culture primary CTC form patient or mice? mice 's ones are relatively easy but from patient it is more challenging....
here you have a beautiful paper :-P about it!
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25013076
good luck!
Like prostatosphere, yes it is possible. Try the patient's CTC into sphere in RPMI and DMEM, both with Insulin added.
Best wishes,
Mannan
Yes indeed I want to do the mammosphere forming assay from patients CTCS. I am currently trying the media described in the paper you sent Valentin but I am not sure if it's gonna work for cells cultured individually.
Dear All, I am wondering if you could recommend a good kit or method for the extraction of RNA from as low as 50 cells. I need to run RNA seq afterwords. Looking forward to your...
