I have some data on copper accumulation in Dunaliella tertiolecta expressed in copper weight per cell (g/cell) and would need to convert it to copper weight per dry mass (g/g). I am hoping Dunaliella's dry mass (g/cell) has been published somewhere but can't find a reference.
Check Fabregas et al. (1995) Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology 44:287-292. They describe 3×10exp9 cells L- 1 as being equivalent to 0.24 g L- 1 dry wt
I think it's probably better to try to measure the amount of particulate organic carbon (POC) directly on your cultures and normalise to that, rather than dry weight. Filter different cell amounts onto combusted GF/F filters and send for POC analysis.
