Mike Kent and Kate Ellis (Curtin University) have done some very interesting research on disability and technology and are currently editing a new book on disability and social and mobile media. I've only seen the draft list of chapters but there is an entire section on disabilities, technology and education. Worth checking out their existing work and keeping an eye out for forthcoming book - think it is called 'Disability and Social Media'
Hi Merisa. We are actually working in the design of a Standards Guide for Vocational Training Programs Services. This guide is for Methodologies, Resources and Environments. The design is based on the concepts of Universal design for Learning and Reasonable Adjustments, so assistive technologies are in part included. The Project is for the Peruvian Job Ministry. We hope to finish it in one month. At the moment we have made the first stage of the Project with a review of the literature. For the second part, we will make the standards based on the review. We are two people involved, because with me is Emiliano Diez Villoria. He is in Reseach Gate too, and you will probably find infoirmation about yuor question in his publications.
Hi Merisa. A colleague of mine, Petra Karlsson, has looked into this very issue from her perspective as an occupational therapist. I think her papers on this topic are still in preparation, but if you contact her she may be interested in sharing her doctoral findings with you. She is a research fellow at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance in NSW, Australia.

My research group at Linköping University includes several projects concerning technology and assistive technology in the classroom. Research already published is available at my page. Ongoing project is about eye tracking, assistive technology for students with cognitive limitations and the use of internet activities in people with intellectual disabilities.
