Hi All, i have a list of biosynthetic genes and enzymes present in Pseudomonas but i would like to know if these are involved in any kind of antibiotics.
Antismash gives you a range of biosynthetic genes that are detected in the genome and the % similarity with known secondary metabolites. However, there is no guarantee that any of the secondary metabolites wll/can be produced by the microorganism for a number of reasons-incomplete pathways; conditions not conducive; low levels of production.
Try a polyphasic approach : ANTISMASH is dedicated to secondary metabolites, try also some other tools for a good annotation, that could be a clue for your questions ; and for such purpose, I recommend you PROKKA, and RAST.
