I am looking for a cell line to use for a capstone project and was wanting to know if anyone has worked with or knows of a cell line that has a largely documented genetic sequence or documented karyotype. My project is to see if there is a common pattern of mutations in cancerous cell lines and I was wanting a cell line that had previously been documented for a starting genetic sequence.
I would start by checking out the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia, which has full genomic information on about 1000 cell lines.
