I am doing a glasshouse experiment and need to inoculate seedlings with spores of multiple AMF species extracted from soil. I would like more than one species to colonize the seedling simultaneously. Does anyone have a good method to recommend?
Note that I am not looking to increase mycorrhiza in the greenhouse, I am doing an experiment on functional diversity.

If you go to a natural prairie or meadow or pasture area with permanent mixed cover you will find a mixture of mycorrhizal fungi.
The wet sieve for sporangiospores will harvest that diversity.
Use a mixture of clover, grass, leek and composite seeded plants will be able to propagate a mixture.
Using 7 gallon grow bags with a 1 volume leaf compost to 5 volumes of vermiculite is highly effective for bulk increasing of inoculums.
The use of bay grass is used during the summer increase and the plants die down at frost.
The use of most probable number assay can be employed to determine a dilution for making inoculant.
The best expert to check out is Doctor David Doud who studied this for 20 years.

Which is host plant you selected for your study? what is substrate you are using? which AM fungal species you are using.. and they are of what stage? how you will know they are viable? you need to look all this things .. decide of setting the experiment..besides you need to know how will you confirm more than one AM species of different genera..are active or colonizing.....
