I've tested an endotoxin detection kit in samples with a lipidic nature and have gotten a standard dilution measurement that was acceptable but OD readings that were quite inconsistent in these samples. What I mean by inconsistent is that they tend to have the same absorbance in 10x and 1000x diluted samples. As the kit mentions, specifically, that it detects endotoxin from samples of protein, peptide and nucleic acid, but says nothing regarding lipids. I am wondering if someone knows of a possible cause for these sort of results.
PS.: technical support from the supplier could not help regarding this lipidic content as possible interferent.
Thank you!
