Hi!

I am currently analyzing prospecting data from a bird population to explore which nest boxes are more prospected and which variables may be influencing this. I have created MCP (minimum convex polygons) with the coordinates of the nests in which individuals were detected prospecting. Since we can't monitor every nest at the same time neither in a continous way due to logistic constraints, we have decided to create these polygons and consider those nest boxes contained within these polygons as 'potentially visitable nests'.

So my aim is to have a code that can classify nests as being within an MCP or not.

However, I can't find any code or recommendation about how to know if a given coordinate is inside a MCP/area in R. Any ideas?

Thank you!
