The article described that cross-linkers are useful for studying structure and function of membrane proteins and cross-linking will locate various proteins on both sides of a membrane. But I do not know which method should be used to extract membrane fraction after cells are cross linked in vivo？I have tried crosslinking by formaldehyde and fail to extract membrane by Mem-PER™ Plus Membrane Protein Extraction Kit. I am trying to use DSP for crosslinking but I am not sure whether it will works, as I konw both formaldehyde and DSP are amine-reactive
