We want to analyse some sex hormones (estradiol, estrone, SHBG) in serum or plasma in human samples. We are working with postmenopausal women and the levels of these sex hormones will be very low so we need a very high sensibility test.

I have read studies using RIA and others using ELISA Kits. Is there any difference in the accuracy of the results? If possible, ELISA would be my preference method due to feasibility.

Does anyone have experience using ELISA Kits with postmenopausal samples? Any specific kit recommended

Thanks a lot in advance!
