Several of these chambers use small neodymium magnets to hold components together and I am aware of literature indicating growth modifying effects of strong magnetic fields on primary and cancer cells. I am interested to hear if anyone knows whether neodymium magnets are sufficiently strong enough to alter cell growth or whether anyone has observed significant differences between cell growth in regular incubators and cell growth in stage-top incubators that had no obvious cause, i.e. CO2/temp/humidity were equivalent.
